Aquakit repairs virtually everything! All types of metal, ceramics, wood, glass, cement and hard plastic.
Aquakit has excellent adhesive strength, even on wet surfaces, even under water.
Aquakit sets as hard as steel within 15 minutes
Aquakit is oil resistant.
Aquakit is easy to work and does not stick to the hands.
Aquakit can be drilled, sawed, polished and painted.
POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS:
• Repairing leaks, without dismantling, in water pipes, boilers,radiators, etc.
• Various repairs under water, such as swimming pools, aquariums, yachts,boats and ships.
• Joining tubes of different diameters.
• Repairs to the bodywork of cars, caravans and boats.
• Sealing a joint or branch.
• Repairing a screw thread.
• Can be used instead of insulating tape or cable lugs.
APPLICATION AND CURING:
Processing time after kneading: 3 minutes at 20 °C
Curing time standard: 15 minutes at 20 °C
Curing time under water: 20 minutes at 20 °C
MATERIAL PROPERTIES AFTER CURING:
Specific gravity: 1.9 gr/cm³
Hardness: 85 Shore
Compressive strength: 900 kg/cm²
Tensile strength: 62 kg/cm²
Maximum usage temp.: 121 °C, briefly at 149 °C
Electrical resistance: 3000 megohm
Shrinkage: <1%
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1. Degrease the surface, then clean and roughen it with abrasive paper or wire brush.
2. Break off the required quantity.
3. Thoroughly knead until a homogenous, evenly coloured mass is formed (+/- 1 minute).
4. Apply immediately and press firmly into place.
5. After use, hands should be washed thoroughly with soap and water.
