Description
Beta Penetrating Oil Dry is a specially developed crude linseed oil-based penetrating oil of low viscosity and surface tension, which allows it to "creep" easily into very small spaces due to capillary action.
Application
Beta Penetrating Oil Dry is used to lubricate parts that are not directly accessible to the oil, but to which the oil itself creeps. This lubrication is usually for protection against rusting and for cleaning purposes. As a real lubricant, creep oil is less suitable, as the oil is rather volatile and its load-bearing capacity is low. Crawling oil is also used for loosening stuck parts, such as bolts, nuts, pins, etc., as the oil creeps into the interstices and thus facilitates loosening. Also, crawling oil has the property of dissolving oxide, thus loosening parts stuck by rust as well.
Processing
Beta Penetrating Oil Dry should be applied to the rusted, dirty or stuck parts. For stubborn cases, the treatment can be repeated. After evaporation of the solvent, an oil film will remain on the metal, providing a limited degree of protection. When the parts have to be reassembled, it is advisable to spray them with Beta White Grease or Beta Copper Grease, for example, to prevent re-rusting.
